Protein purification

We can design a purification process or adapt (if necessary) an existing process to your requirements. Tagged target proteins will typically be purified from cell lysate or culture media using centrifugation and affinity chromatography on Ni-NTA resin for His-tagged proteins or glutathione beads for GST fusion proteins. In order to achieve higher levels of purity, this step can be followed by ion exchange and / or gel filtration chromatography using  Akta Systems. Other types of chromatography can be used if necessary (HIC, dye-ligand etc.). The quality of the protein is assessed by SDS PAGE. Tag and endotoxin removal are additional options.
