Protein production

 After optimal expression conditions have been agreed upon, the appropriate cells, in culture in serum-free medium, will be infected with virus at appropriate MOI. This procedure is routinely carried out in Erlenmeyer flasks with vented lids. We also employ disposable, scaleable fermentation technologies such as single use WAVE bioreactors. We can produce up to 40L in one batch using in-house facilities. Larger volumes can be produced in multiple batches in-house or using large scale facilities via our collaborative partner, Eden Biodesign . Culture medium/cell pellets will be harvested at the appropriate time after infection.  For culture medium, cells will be removed by centrifugation and culture medium containing proteins will be sent on dry-ice or could be collected by prior arrangement.  Cell pellets will shipped on dry-ice or could be collected by prior arrangement.
