To complement the global biopartnering conferences, share knowledge and engage thought leaders in challenging each other to progress the development of new treatments and technologies, One Nucleus launched its Life Science Leadership Series - a series of 1-day events that have a therapeutic and/or technology area focus. They launched the first of the series with Oncology in May 2011 and then followed on with Healthcare Technologies in September 2011 and CNS and Ageing in January 2012.
The latest event in the second series will focus on Infectious Diseases and Vaccines and will bring together the discovery and development pipeline from bench to patient, so including advances in drug delivery, disease monitoring, biomarkers and the core R&D activities. As a member of the advisory board, Dr Richard Broadhead of OET will be attending and chairing the afternoon session entitled 'Prevntion better than cure'.

As an innovative, research-driven company with a strong scientific base, we are always very pleased to see the flashBAC system being used in scientific research that has appeared in the literature. Here we present a selection of highly interesting recently published papers where the flashBAC system has been used. These papers demonstrate how the system has been used to express a variety of proteins (including virus proteins, ion channels and ribosomal proteins) for a diverse range of purposes including structural biology, immunology and the study of phosphorylation patterns
